Wine Description
Château Fleur Haut Gaussens is a multigenerational family estate in Vérac, near Fronsac, where 40 hectares of clay limestone vineyards are farmed with deep respect for terroir. Spread across 27 parcels and certified HVE Level 3, the property carefully adapts its practices to each plot, using natural grass cover and organic manure to enrich the soils. Harvesting includes nighttime picking and meticulous sorting, followed by plot by plot vinification that preserves the identity of every parcel. Aging in fine French oak and blending just before bottling reflect a philosophy rooted in precision, authenticity, and age worthy Bordeaux tradition.
The 2019 vintage, led by Merlot with touches of Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Malbec, reveals dense black fruit framed by refined tannins and subtle oak. Structured yet polished, it embodies depth, finesse, and the capacity to evolve beautifully over time.
