Villa Noria is a family-owned, single-estate winery in the Languedoc, near Pézenas, spanning 75 hectares farmed organically and certified by Ecocert. The estate leans heavily into sustainability, planting hedges and trees throughout the vineyard to support biodiversity, and runs a bottle-reuse program with a local partner rather than sending empties for recycling.
This 2022 bottle carries the IGP Pays d'Hérault designation, a broad protected geographical indication covering the department at the heart of the Languedoc, known for warm-climate reds built on Mediterranean grape varieties. Made from 100% Syrah, hand-tended across the estate's parcels, it's vinified to highlight the grape's dark fruit character and peppery spice without excessive oak influence. Expect a deep purple color, ripe blackberry and black pepper on the nose, and a smooth, structured palate with soft, approachable tannins.
The result is an easygoing, honest Languedoc Syrah from an estate built on organic farming and genuine environmental commitment.
