Wine Description
Since 1777, the Boisson family has tended the same parcels in Châteauneuf-du-Pape, preserving a lineage that began when Jean-Louis Boisson married into the Chambellan family. Domaine du Père Caboche takes its name from the family’s blacksmithing heritage, a Provençal nickname that became the emblem of their wines. Today, Emilie Boisson proudly leads this female run estate alongside her family, farming 17 hectares on the famed La Crau plateau. Century-old vines, some planted in 1906, thrive among galets roulés and varied clay, limestone, and sandy soils that shape wines of depth and character.
The result is a full-bodied red of bright ruby color, offering ripe red fruit, mineral nuance, gentle spice, and a fine tannic structure. Concentrated yet balanced, it reflects generations of devotion and the unmistakable power and elegance of Châteauneuf-du-Pape.
