Wine Description
This 2022 "Plaisance" from Thierry Drouin is a brilliant expression of Mâconnais Chardonnay. Hailing from the clay and limestone soils of the region, the wine offers a delicate and elegant profile. The nose presents a mix of delicate floral notes layered with bright citrus and ripe yellow fruits. The palate is fresh and lively with a lovely mineral backbone and a zesty, lemony finish. It has a rounded mouthfeel, resulting from malolactic fermentation, that provides a pleasing softness while maintaining a crisp, refreshing character. This is a quintessential Mâcon-Villages white that is a pleasure to drink now.
