This blend of 85% Malbec and 15% Merlot is tighter and leaner than its Argentinian cousin. It is a well-rounded fruit forward wine, with notes of vanilla, black cherry, licorice, and a whiff of cedar.
Cohors is a small town in southwestern France, located 100 miles east of Bordeaux. It is known for its deeply colored reds made predominantly from Malbec. Cahors is the only red-wine appellation in the French south-west to use neither Cabernet Sauvignon nor Cabernet Franc.
