Wine Description
In the heart of Languedoc and overseeing the town of Minerve lies Domaine Vordy with its old vines of 100 year old Carignan, Grenache, Syrah and Mourvèdre. Didier and Helene Vordy left their desk jobs in the 70’s to take over the vines originally owned by Helene’s father. Didier is not only an accomplished wine maker, but he is also the mayor of Minerve, a charming fortified town full of incredible history. Now, their son Thibault is slowly taking over the family business, crafting well-balanced wines full of fruit and spice.
The René grapes are de-stemmed and fermented during eight weeks followed by 12 months aging in French oak barrels.
This wine reveals aromas such as cacao, violet or even gingerbread.
