Franck and Betty Millet have run their family estate in the village of Bué since 1991, continuing three generations of winegrowing. Bué sits just a few miles from the town of Sancerre and, alongside Chavignol, is considered one of the appellation's best terroirs. The estate has grown from 7 to 23 hectares, farmed with rigorous hand harvesting and a summer green harvest to control yields, with grapes picked early each morning and pressed while still cool.
This 2024 bottle carries the Sancerre appellation, one of the most respected names in the Loire Valley and a benchmark for Sauvignon Blanc worldwide. Grown on the ancient, well-drained limestone soils of Bué, it's fermented in temperature-controlled stainless steel to preserve freshness and purity. Expect the appellation's signature mineral, flinty character alongside notes of green apple, pear, and ripe citrus, with a fleshy, full-flavored palate that still finishes crisp and zesty.
