The Ruhlmann-Schutz estate was officially formed in 1994 when André Ruhlmann and Christine Schutz united their families' vineyards, and is now guided by four cousins of the third generation. They farm 53 hectares in Alsace under HVE Level 3 certification and progressive organic conversion. Based in Dambach-la-Ville, a village known for the hillsides surrounding it and its ever-changing colors throughout the seasons, the estate draws on granite, marl, sandstone, and limestone soils along the Vosges foothills, with a climate that is the driest in France thanks to the mountains blocking oceanic moisture.

This bottle falls under the Crémant d'Alsace appellation, the designation reserved for Alsace's traditional-method sparkling wines, made using the same secondary fermentation-in-bottle process as Champagne, giving it fine, persistent bubbles. It's built entirely from Pinot Noir, the only red grape permitted in Alsace, which lends the wine its pale salmon color, red berry fruit, and structured, food-friendly backbone. Grapes are estate-grown across the family's Alsatian parcels and hand-tended following the domaine's philosophy that wine is the perfect reflection of the temperament of its maker.

The result is a lively, elegant sparkling rosé with real winemaking pedigree behind it: three centuries of family history in Dambach-la-Ville distilled into a single glass.
